The Best All-Inclusive Resorts With a Spa

Disclosure: The Gilded Escape is reader-supported. When you book through links on this page we may earn an affiliate commission, at no additional cost to you. It never affects our scores or which resorts we recommend. Learn how we make money.

Our top pick is BodyHoliday in St. Lucia, from about $388 per person per night — the only resort we cover that includes a full one-hour spa treatment every full day of your stay, which makes it the right answer for anyone who booked a spa holiday rather than a beach holiday with a spa attached. The budget pick is Zoetry Agua Punta Cana at $166 per person per night as of September 2026, a small wellness-led property and the cheapest luxury inclusive rate we publish. If you want the best spa rather than the most included spa, it is Grand Velas Riviera Maya at $650 per person per night, whose Forbes Five-Star spa sits inside the all-inclusive rate.

Here is the thing most lists of spa all-inclusives never say: at almost every resort in this category, the spa is not included. What is sometimes included is the hydrotherapy or water circuit — the sequence of plunge pools, steam rooms, saunas and jets you walk yourself through — and even that is frequently sold as an add-on or bundled only into a club tier. The massages, facials and body treatments are charged separately, often at rates comparable to a good city spa, and that bill lands at checkout on a holiday you booked precisely so there would be no bill at checkout.

So this page ranks on what the rate covers, not on how the treatment room photographs. Exactly one entry includes treatments. Four include a water circuit. The rest have excellent spas you pay for, and they are here because the surrounding resort justifies the trip anyway — but we say which is which on every row. Where we have published a full scored review, the entry links to it; where we have not, the resort is named as an honest mention with no rubric score.

At a glance

Compare on what the rate includes — a daily treatment, a water circuit, or nothing from the spa at all — then on the facility itself. Prices are printed only where this site publishes a dated anchor.

Every “Check Rates” button opens live availability for that resort on Expedia. Rates as of September 2026. Always verify current pricing.

How we chose

We ranked on one question first — is anything from the spa actually inside the all-inclusive rate — and then on the quality of the facility and the resort around it. Included treatments beat an included water circuit, which beats a well-regarded spa you pay for. Facts come from brand specifications and the published reporting we cite, not from fabricated visits, and we have not treated a resort's own marketing language as proof that something is included. Reviewed properties carry our rubric score; honest mentions carry none. Rates are the dated starting anchors published elsewhere on this site.

#1 · Best for included treatments

BodyHoliday

BodyHoliday (Sunswept Resorts)

The only resort we cover where a one-hour treatment every full day is inside the rate. For someone who booked a spa holiday, not a beach holiday.

BodyHoliday is the answer to this search and nothing else on the page is close, because it is built the other way around: the spa is the product and the beach resort is attached to it. A one-hour spa treatment is included every full day of your stay, on a published 155 rooms, from about $388 per person per night. Over a seven-night stay that is six or seven treatments inside the rate, which at any other resort on this page would be a four-figure line on the departure bill.

Our St. Lucia coverage carries one correction that matters if you came here from a published roundup, and it is worth repeating: BodyHoliday is no longer adults-only. Caribbean Journal reported its minimum age dropping from 16-plus to 12-plus and current listings give 12 year-round, yet Tripadvisor's St. Lucia adults-only list still ranks it first. If a child-free property is the requirement, this is not one.

The other catches are the location and the format. Cap Estate is at the far north of St. Lucia and Hewanorra is a long winding transfer away. The daily treatment is scheduled rather than chosen on the day, so the rhythm of the week is set by the spa diary, and the resort is wellness-led in a way that will feel programd to anyone who wanted to do nothing. We have not published a full scored review, so there is no rubric number here.

The good

  • A full one-hour spa treatment included every full day — unique among the resorts we cover
  • A published 155 rooms, so it is small enough that the spa is not oversubscribed
  • Wellness programming built into the rate rather than sold alongside it

The trade-offs

  • No longer adults-only: the minimum age has dropped to 12, despite what some published lists still say
  • Treatments are scheduled, so the spa diary sets the shape of your week
  • A long winding transfer from Hewanorra, and no full scored review from us

#2 · Best spa facility

Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Velas Resorts

9.2/ 10

A Forbes Five-Star spa inside an all-inclusive rate, alongside a MICHELIN-starred restaurant. The best facility on this page.

If the question is which all-inclusive has the best spa rather than the most included spa, this is the answer. Grand Velas pairs a Forbes Five-Star spa with a MICHELIN-starred tasting menu, both inside the all-inclusive rate, which is a combination no other inclusive resort we cover offers. Our review scores the resort 9.2 — the strongest-scored all-inclusive on this site.

Its water journey is the part of the spa most people remember, and it is the kind of multi-stage hydrotherapy sequence that other resorts charge separately for. There are effectively three resorts inside one property, each with its own ambience and its own butler and concierge assignment, so the spa is not shared with a single undifferentiated crowd.

The honest catch is the same one that applies almost everywhere in this category: the facility and the water journey are one thing, individual treatments are another, and the treatment menu is billed. At $650 per person per night this is also the second most expensive entry on the page before a single massage is booked. Sargassum is a real consideration on this coast in season.

The good

  • A Forbes Five-Star spa inside the all-inclusive rate, plus a MICHELIN-starred restaurant
  • 9.2 in our review — the highest-scored all-inclusive we cover
  • A genuine multi-stage water journey rather than a single sauna and a plunge pool

The trade-offs

  • Treatments are billed separately — the facility is included, the massage is not
  • $650 per person per night before any spa spend
  • Sargassum exposure on this coast in season; the resort is large

#3 · Best included water circuit

Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun

Le Blanc (Palace Resorts)

The spa is in the name and the hydrotherapy circuit is in the rate, with butler service in every suite. Adults-only, in the easiest place in Mexico to reach.

Le Blanc is the Hotel Zone's most polished adults-only address and the clearest example of the partial-inclusion model done well: the hydrotherapy circuit is included rather than sold as an upgrade, and butler service comes with every suite rather than only the club tiers. That combination is why it sits as our service pick on both the Cancun and the Mexico roundups.

The practical argument is the airport. Cancun International is close and takes direct flights from most of the US, so a three-night spa weekend is realistic here in a way it is not at the remote entries on this page. The Hotel Zone also means restaurants, bars and a city outside the gate if the resort's own program runs thin.

The catches are the setting and the bill. This is a Hotel Zone tower on a busy strip rather than a secluded retreat, the beach is the strip's beach, and treatments beyond the circuit are charged. We have not published a full scored review, so there is no rubric number here.

The good

  • Hydrotherapy circuit included in the rate, not sold as an upgrade
  • Butler service in every suite, and adults-only throughout
  • Cancun International is close and well served — a short spa break actually works

The trade-offs

  • A Hotel Zone tower on a busy strip, not a secluded retreat
  • Treatments beyond the circuit are billed separately
  • No full scored review from us, so no rubric score

#4 · Best value water circuit

UNICO 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya

UNICO Hotel Collection

An included hydrotherapy circuit and a Local Host who gets you off the property. Adults-only, and the best value circuit on the page.

UNICO is the resort on our Riviera Maya roundup for travelers who do not want to spend the week behind a gate, and the spa sits inside that philosophy. The hydrotherapy circuit is included in the rate, and the resort assigns a Local Host whose job is to arrange what you do outside the property — the opposite instinct to a resort that wants you on site all week.

It is adults-only, the kitchen is run by a Mexican culinary heavyweight, and it sits at Kantenah rather than on the crowded northern stretch, so the beach is quieter than the Playa del Carmen end. For a couple who want an included circuit without Le Blanc's Hotel Zone setting or Grand Velas' rate, this is the efficient choice.

The catch is that it is a mid-size resort rather than a spa destination: the circuit is good, the treatment list is billed, and the spa is not the reason the resort exists. We have not published a full scored review of it.

The good

  • Hydrotherapy circuit included in the rate, at a lower anchor than Grand Velas
  • Adults-only, with a Local Host who arranges excursions off property
  • A quieter stretch of coast at Kantenah, and a kitchen with a real reputation

The trade-offs

  • A good circuit rather than a destination spa — treatments are billed
  • Sargassum exposure in season like the rest of this coast
  • No full scored review from us, so no rubric score

#5 · Best new spa

Secrets Baby Beach Aruba

Secrets (Hyatt Inclusive Collection)

The newest spa in the category — 3,200 square feet with a hydrotherapy circuit — on an island where almost nothing is all-inclusive.

Aruba is a room-only island and this is its only contemporary whole-property adults-only all-inclusive, which makes its spa the newest facility of its kind anywhere we cover. It opened in June 2025 with a 3,200-square-foot spa and a hydrotherapy circuit, on a 304-suite resort with seven dining venues, six bars and three pools including two infinity pools. No restaurant takes reservations, which at this size is a genuine advantage.

It is also one of the better World of Hyatt redemptions in the collection, and cash rates run materially below the Palm Beach chains for a newer and better-specified room. Preferred Club adds private plunge pools and terrace soaking tubs in select categories.

The catch needs saying plainly, because the resort's photography does not. It sits on the far southeastern tip of Aruba near San Nicolas, about thirty minutes from the airport and thirty-five from Palm Beach, on a stretch of coast shared with the island's decommissioned oil refinery — some rooms look at smokestacks. Despite the name it is not on Baby Beach: that is a five-to-seven-minute walk, and there is no private beach at the resort. Opening-year reports also flag understaffing, largely absent butler service, hour-long peak dinner waits and bathroom mold in rooms only months old.

The good

  • A 3,200 sq ft spa with a hydrotherapy circuit — the newest facility in the category
  • 304 suites, seven dining venues and no restaurant reservations required
  • A strong World of Hyatt redemption, with cash rates below the Palm Beach chains

The trade-offs

  • Remote southeastern location beside a decommissioned refinery; some rooms face smokestacks
  • Not on the beach despite the name — Baby Beach is a five-to-seven-minute walk
  • Opening-year reports of understaffing, absent butler service and long dinner waits

#6 · Best in-suite hydrotherapy

JOIA Aruba by Iberostar

JOIA by Iberostar (IHG)

Spa Sensations with a hydrotherapy circuit and seven treatment rooms, plus a private terrace hot tub in all 240 suites — but read the age policy.

JOIA is the most design-forward new hotel on Eagle Beach and the only entry on this page where the hydrotherapy continues in your own room: every one of the 240 suites, from 592 to 1,313 square feet, has a private terrace hot tub. Spa Sensations adds a hydrotherapy circuit and seven treatment rooms, and board is flexible — room-only, or an inclusive plan covering two of the restaurants with bar service at four venues.

That flexibility is the reason it is here rather than higher: on an island with Aruba's restaurant culture, an optional plan is often the better buy, and the spa does not depend on it either way.

Now the correction, and it is the most important line on this entry. JOIA properties are adults-only almost everywhere the brand operates and published Aruba roundups list this one among the island's adults-only all-inclusives. It is not. Children are welcome, there is no minimum guest age, and the resort runs a kids' club for ages four to twelve; what is adults-only is the Zima rooftop bar. It also sits across the boulevard from Eagle Beach rather than on it, opened roughly eighty percent complete with construction noise reported into early 2025, and its Star Prestige pool is closed to base inclusive guests.

The good

  • A private terrace hot tub in every one of the 240 suites, plus a hydrotherapy circuit and seven treatment rooms
  • Flexible board — take the spa and the room without committing to an inclusive plan
  • The newest and best-specified hardware on Eagle Beach

The trade-offs

  • NOT an adults-only resort: no minimum age and a kids' club for ages 4-12, whatever published lists say
  • Across the boulevard from Eagle Beach, not on it
  • Opened around 80% complete with early construction noise; Star Prestige pool is off-limits to base guests

#7 · Best if you would rather pay a la carte

Rosewood Mayakoba

Rosewood

9.3/ 10

The room is the spa: a private plunge pool in all 129 suites, some with a second pool on the roof. Room-only, so you pay for treatments either way.

Rosewood Mayakoba is the argument for ignoring the inclusive model entirely if the spa is why you are going. It is our highest-scored property under $1,000 a night at 9.3, every one of the 129 suites has a private plunge pool — not a top tier, all of them — and every one has a dedicated butler. Some suites add a second pool on the roof. At $675 per room per night as of September 2026, two people pay $675 rather than $1,350.

The logic is simple: at an all-inclusive you pay for treatments on top of a per-person rate; here you pay for treatments on top of a per-room rate that is lower for a couple than most of the inclusive entries above. The resort sits in the Mayakoba lagoon complex, reached by boat through mangrove canals, which is the most private setting on this page.

The catch is that nothing is included. Every meal, every drink and every treatment is billed, and Rosewood pricing is Rosewood pricing — so the week costs materially more than the headline. The beach is a short internal journey from most suites rather than a step off the terrace.

The good

  • A private plunge pool and a dedicated butler with all 129 suites, and our highest score under $1,000 at 9.3
  • Per-room pricing: $675 covers two people, lower than most per-person inclusive rates doubled
  • Mangrove-lagoon seclusion, the most private setting on this page

The trade-offs

  • Room-only: food, drink and every treatment are billed
  • Rosewood pricing makes the real week well above the anchor
  • The beach is an internal journey from most suites

#8 · Budget pick — cheapest that still does the job

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana

Zoetry (Hyatt Inclusive Collection)

The cheapest wellness-led inclusive rate we publish, $166 per person per night, at a small property where the spa is not an afterthought.

This is the budget pick. At $166 per person per night as of September 2026 — the lowest anchor rate published anywhere on this site, and $332 for two — Zoetry Agua is a small thatch-and-timber wellness property on the Uvero Alto coast with an inclusive plan at the Hyatt Inclusive Collection standard and World of Hyatt earning attached.

It earns its place rather than merely occupying the bottom of the list, because wellness is the property's actual positioning rather than a facility bolted onto a mega-resort. For a couple whose brief is a quiet, low-density week with a spa and the smallest honest luxury number, nothing else here is in the same bracket.

The catches follow from being small: a short restaurant bench, no water park, no nightlife, no spare capacity when a venue is full, and a long transfer from Punta Cana International compared with the Cap Cana resorts. Treatments are billed, as everywhere else on this page bar the first entry.

The good

  • The lowest rate we publish anywhere — $166 per person per night, $332 for two
  • Genuinely wellness-led and low-density rather than a resort with a spa attached
  • Hyatt Inclusive Collection plan with World of Hyatt earning

The trade-offs

  • Small: short restaurant bench, no nightlife, no spare capacity
  • A long transfer from Punta Cana International
  • Treatments billed separately; no full scored review from us

Ask what is included before you look at a single photograph

There are three tiers in this category and the marketing does not distinguish them. Tier one is treatments included, and exactly one resort on this page does it: BodyHoliday, with a one-hour treatment every full day. Tier two is the water circuit included — Le Blanc, UNICO, Grand Velas and the two Aruba properties — where you can use the plunge pools, steam rooms and saunas but pay for every massage. Tier three is an excellent spa that is entirely billed, which is most of the market.

The practical test is to ask the resort, in writing, whether the hydrotherapy circuit is included in your specific room category. At several brands the circuit is bundled only into a club or preferred tier, which means the inclusion you booked for is an upgrade you have not bought yet.

Price a week of treatments before you compare rates

Resort spa treatments are generally priced like good city spa treatments, so two people having three massages each over a week is a serious line. That is the arithmetic that makes BodyHoliday's included daily treatment the strongest value on this page despite a higher nightly anchor than several entries below it, and it is the arithmetic that makes a room-only resort like Rosewood Mayakoba a reasonable spa choice too — because you were always going to pay for the treatments, and the room rate covers two people rather than one.

Run it as: nightly rate for your party, times nights, plus the treatments you actually intend to book. The ranking you get will rarely match the order resorts appear in on a booking site.

Watch the door policy, because two of these are commonly miscategorized

Two entries on this page are routinely listed as adults-only and are not. BodyHoliday dropped its minimum age from 16-plus to 12-plus and current listings give 12 year-round, yet Tripadvisor's St. Lucia adults-only list still ranks it first. JOIA Aruba is the exception in a brand that is adults-only almost everywhere else: children are welcome, there is no minimum guest age, and there is a kids' club for ages four to twelve — only the rooftop bar is adults-only.

If a child-free spa week is the requirement, the reliable entries here are Le Blanc, UNICO, Secrets Baby Beach and Excellence-style adults-only properties. Our adults-only roundups filter the whole field on that question.

Our picks — where to book

Frequently Asked Questions

Almost never. The only resort we cover that includes treatments is BodyHoliday in St. Lucia, which includes a full one-hour treatment every full day of your stay from about $388 per person per night. Everywhere else, what is sometimes included is the hydrotherapy or water circuit — plunge pools, steam rooms, saunas and jets — while massages, facials and body treatments are billed separately.
