What an affiliate commission is

Some of the links on our resort reviews, best-of lists, comparisons, and guides are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to make a booking or purchase, the merchant or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be without our link.

The programs we participate in

We earn commissions through the following programs and networks, among others:

  • Travel brands & networks — including Sandals and Beaches, Marriott (Bonvoy) via Partnerize, Fairmont/Raffles (FRHI), Four Seasons, Soneva, Plum Guide, and partners on CJ Affiliate and AscendPartner.
  • Booking aggregators — Booking.com, Tripadvisor, and Expedia, which let us point you to live rates for almost any property we mention.

Our independence promise

Affiliate relationships never influence our scores, rankings, or which resorts we recommend. We score every property on the same editorial rubric, and we include the honest downsides on every review whether or not we earn a commission from it. If a resort is not worth your money, we say so. A note on pricing

Travel rates and availability change constantly. Every price we publish carries a “rates as of” date and is an indicative starting point, not a quote. Always confirm the current rate with the merchant before booking.
