St. Lucia is one of the Caribbean's most all-inclusive-dominated islands, and also one of the easiest to get wrong, because the island's most famous hotels are not all-inclusive at all. Jade Mountain, Sugar Beach, Ladera, Anse Chastanet and Cap Maison are room-rate properties where meals and drinks are a paid supplement or a separate package — they belong on a luxury ranking, not this one, and we rank them on our best luxury resorts in St. Lucia list instead. What is left is a genuine all-inclusive field of about eight resorts, and the differences between them are larger than the price gaps suggest.

Two of those differences decide most bookings. The first is what the rate actually covers: Sandals absorbs round-trip airport transfers, gratuities, scuba and golf into the headline figure, while the island's volume operators bill transfers separately and keep two or three of their best restaurants outside the plan. The second is the door policy, and it is unusually restrictive here. Five of the eight resorts below will only sell a room to two people traveling together, which means a solo traveler, two friends or a parent with an adult child has a far shorter list than the brochures imply.

The third thing to plan around is the airport. Hewanorra International sits at Vieux Fort on the island's southern tip, and almost the entire all-inclusive field clusters at the opposite end — a winding 60 to 90 minutes away. Exactly two resorts on this page are within five minutes of the terminal, and they are both in Vieux Fort. Below we rank eight resorts on inclusions, admissions, location and honest fit. Only the property we have reviewed in full carries our rubric score; the rest are editorial assessments. We print a nightly figure only where a published source gave one together with a date, and every entry's button pulls live pricing.

At a glance

Compare entries on who the resort will sell to, how much of the stay the rate genuinely covers, transfer time from Hewanorra (UVF), and whether the property stands alone or shares a campus with a family resort.

Every “Check Rates” button opens live availability for that resort on Expedia. Rates as of September 2026. Always verify current pricing.

How we chose

We ranked St. Lucia's all-inclusive resorts on five criteria weighted for this specific island. First, the real scope of the rate — how many restaurants are genuinely included rather than listed, and whether transfers, gratuities, watersports and golf sit inside or outside the price. Second, admissions: whether the resort sells to couples only, to adults 18 and over, or to all ages, because on this island that is the variable most likely to end a booking. Third, the transfer, which ranges from five minutes to ninety and is a material cost and time line item here. Fourth, the room or suite product. Fifth, the beach and the setting. Assessments draw on operator publications, reseller and tour-operator listings, trade reporting and our own analysis — not fabricated firsthand stays. Only reviewed properties carry our locked rubric score; everything else is an honest editorial assessment with no score. Where published sources disagree on a room or restaurant count we print both figures rather than pick one.

#1 · Best all-inclusive overall

Sandals Regency La Toc

Sandals

The widest genuinely included scope on the island, at the lowest per-person rate of the three St. Lucia Sandals.

If the question is which St. Lucia rate covers the most of your week, this is the answer. Sandals Regency La Toc sits on a 220-acre estate above a half-mile crescent beach just south of Castries, and the all-inclusive scope is the widest on the island: a published ten restaurants on the property, unlimited premium drinks, non-motorized watersports, scuba for certified divers, gratuities, and a golf course inside the rate rather than beside it. Round-trip airport transfers are included too, which on an island where a private transfer is a real expense is worth more than it sounds.

The room product is better than the resort's age suggests. The estate climbs a hillside, and the categories that use that elevation — Rondoval Butler Sky Villas with rooftop terraces, and the Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Villas with private pools — are among the most private suites Sandals operates anywhere. Several carry a dedicated butler. The Sunset Bluff at the top of the property is the best place on the resort to be at six in the evening, and the beach below is a proper swimmable crescent rather than a strip.

The transfer is the shortest of the three Sandals here: published figures put La Toc at about 34 miles and roughly an hour from Hewanorra, against 36 miles and an hour ten for Halcyon Beach and 41 miles and an hour fifteen for Grande St. Lucian. Add the Stay at One, Play at Three exchange — guests at any of the three may use the restaurants, bars, pools and beaches at the other two, taking the included restaurant count to a published 28 across the island with shuttles between them — and the included scope is genuinely hard to beat at this rate.

One published figure to hold loosely: a reseller guide quoted La Toc at about $288 per person per night as of September 2026, which made it and Halcyon Beach effectively tied and both materially below Grande St. Lucian. That was a point-in-time quote on a per-person basis, and St. Lucia rates move hard with season, so treat it as a planning band and check live. The hard constraint is the door: like every Sandals, La Toc is couples-only, and no exception exists.

The good

  • A published ten included restaurants on site, 28 across the three resorts with the Stay at One, Play at Three exchange
  • Round-trip airport transfers, gratuities, scuba for certified divers and golf are inside the rate
  • Shortest Sandals transfer from Hewanorra at a published 34 miles, about an hour
  • Rondoval Butler Sky Villas and Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Villas are among the brand's most private suites

The trade-offs

  • Couples-only — two guests traveling together, with no exception for friends or solo travelers
  • A 220-acre hillside estate means real walking and shuttle-reliance between the beach and the upper categories
  • No overwater bungalows — those are at Grande St. Lucian, and a shuttle ride away

#2 · Best resort, and the only overwater villas

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

Sandals

9.0/ 10

The island's only overwater bungalows, on a peninsula with calm water on one side and open Atlantic on the other.

This is the better resort and the more expensive all-inclusive, and both halves of that sentence matter. Sandals Grande St. Lucian occupies the causeway out to Pigeon Island at the island's northern tip, with Rodney Bay's flat, protected water on one side and the open Atlantic on the other. The result is the most interesting setting of any all-inclusive in St. Lucia: a mile of sand with no rocks underfoot, snorkeling straight off the beach, and a sunset view down the length of the bay.

It is also the only resort on the island with true overwater accommodation. Published listings put the property at 311 rooms and suites including nine Over-the-Water Bungalows, each with a private sun deck, a glass floor panel, an outdoor soaking tub and two dedicated butlers on call around the clock. The included dining runs to a published twelve restaurants on site, rising to about 27 with the exchange to La Toc and Halcyon Beach, and the standard Sandals inclusions apply: premium drinks, watersports, gratuities and round-trip transfers.

We score it 9.0 in our full review, which is the highest score we give any all-inclusive in St. Lucia, and it is the resort we would book for a honeymoon on this island. It loses the top slot on this particular page for a specific reason: the thing most people come here for — the overwater bungalow — is a steep upcharge category rather than an inclusion, and our registry anchors the property from about $320 per person per night as of September 2026, above both of its siblings. If you are ranking on what the rate covers per dollar, La Toc wins. If you are ranking on the resort, this one does.

Two practical notes. The transfer is the longest of the three Sandals at a published 41 miles and roughly an hour fifteen by road, though a water ferry or helicopter can cut it to about fifteen minutes for a fee. And the causeway position that gives the resort its views also makes it the windiest of the three — pleasant in March, occasionally a nuisance on the Atlantic side.

The good

  • The only overwater bungalows in St. Lucia — nine of them, with glass floor panels and two butlers apiece
  • A published 311 rooms, twelve included restaurants on site and about 27 with the three-resort exchange
  • A mile of rock-free sand with snorkeling directly off the beach, and water calm on the bay side
  • Our highest-scoring St. Lucia all-inclusive at 9.0, with a full published review

The trade-offs

  • The most expensive of the three Sandals, anchored from about $320 pp/night as of September 2026
  • The overwater bungalows are a significant upcharge, not part of the base rate
  • Longest Sandals road transfer at a published 41 miles, about an hour fifteen; couples-only like its siblings

#3 · Best suite and shortest transfer

Serenity at Coconut Bay

Coconut Bay

Thirty-six suites, every one with a private plunge pool and a butler, five minutes from the airport.

Serenity solves the one problem nothing else on this island solves: it is roughly five minutes by car from Hewanorra, and private airport transfers are included. On an island where the all-inclusive field sits 60 to 90 winding minutes from the terminal, arriving at your suite twenty minutes after the wheels touch down is a genuine luxury, and it is the single best reason to book here.

The product behind that convenience is unusually consistent. Caribbean Journal reported in July 2026 that the resort has 36 suites and that every one of them has a private patio with a plunge pool and waterfall — there is no entry-level category without one. Published suite sizes run from about 1,250 square feet for a Plunge Pool Butler Suite to around 1,500 for the Premium and about 1,900 for the Grande, each with an indoor soaking tub and an open-air shower. Butler service is universal rather than reserved for the top tiers: the butler meets you on arrival, checks you in privately, unpacks, stocks the drinks and can arrange cabanas, in-suite spa treatments and private meals.

Dining is small by design. The Greathouse is the main restaurant and serves a la carte rather than buffet, with an international wine list, top-shelf spirits and 24-hour room service included — and Serenity guests may cross into the neighboring Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, which published listings put at eight further restaurants and seven bars. That adjacency cuts both ways, and it is the honest caveat here: Coconut Bay is a large family resort with the island's biggest water park, so the quiet is yours only while you stay on the Serenity side.

The rate is the other caveat. The same Caribbean Journal piece recorded rooms starting at around $1,109 per night for double occupancy at the time of writing, based on a Google Hotels figure the author saw — a point-in-time number on a per-room basis, which is not comparable to the per-person figures the Sandals properties quote. This is a premium small-resort rate, and the resort is sold as couples-only, with several reseller listings recording a 21-and-over policy. Check both the age rule and the live rate before planning around either.

The good

  • About five minutes from Hewanorra, with private airport transfers included
  • All 36 suites have a private plunge pool and butler service — no entry-level category without them
  • Published suite sizes from about 1,250 up to about 1,900 square feet, with indoor soaking tubs
  • Access to the adjacent Coconut Bay's published eight additional restaurants and seven bars

The trade-offs

  • A premium rate — one July 2026 report saw rooms from around $1,109 per night, double occupancy, on a per-room basis
  • Couples-only, with reseller listings recording a 21-and-over policy — confirm before booking
  • One restaurant of its own; everything beyond The Greathouse means walking into a large family resort
  • Vieux Fort is the island's industrial south — convenient, but not the scenery people picture

#4 · Best for adults traveling as friends or solo

Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Royalton / Marriott Autograph Collection

The island's only real adults-only all-inclusive that will sell to people who are not a couple — with a family resort next door.

This is the entry that exists because of a gap rather than in spite of one. Five of the eight resorts on this page sell only to two people traveling together. Hideaway is adults-only by age — Marriott's own description puts it at guests aged 18 and over — which makes it the island's most realistic all-inclusive for two friends, a solo traveler, a parent with an adult child, or a group of three. It is also a Marriott Bonvoy property in the Autograph Collection, so Bonvoy members earn and can redeem here, which almost nothing else on this island offers.

Published counts put the Hideaway section at 166 rooms in Cap Estate at the island's northern tip, with a Diamond Club tier that adds personalized check-in, butler service, dedicated room locations, an exclusive beach area with its own bar and waiter service, and a private lounge; Royalton's own description adds a Diamond Club pool, which at least one reseller lists as carrying a charge. Included in the rate across the board: unlimited meals and snacks, unlimited domestic and select international drinks, room service, non-motorized watersports, snorkeling equipment, fitness classes, evening entertainment, and gratuities and taxes. Scuba, spa, premium cuts and snorkeling excursions are billed separately.

The structural caveat is the one this chain always carries, and it is worth stating plainly. Hideaway is the adults-only half of a campus shared with the all-ages Royalton Saint Lucia, and the two sides exchange: Hideaway guests get full access to the family resort's restaurants, bars and wellness facilities under Royalton's Reservation Free Dining concept. One reseller listing warns in the other direction too — that despite the adults-only label, shared areas with the Royalton mean all ages will be present in some of them. If a child-free week is the whole point of the trip, ask reservations in writing which specific pools, beach sections and restaurants a family-side guest may enter.

Published figures disagree in two places and we have not resolved either. Restaurant counts for the Hideaway side run ten on Marriott's own page, nine at one UK operator, eight on two booking sites, and eleven named dining outlets on a Costco listing that appears to count the campus. Room counts for the adjacent family Royalton run 290 on most listings, 289 at one tour operator and 355 on another. Treat all of them as approximate. One hard number is consistent: Costco Travel lists the distance from the airport as 90 minutes, the longest transfer on this page.

The good

  • Adults-only by age at 18 and over — the realistic choice if you are not booking as a couple
  • A Marriott Bonvoy Autograph Collection property, so points earning and redemption work here
  • A published 166 rooms with a Diamond Club tier carrying butler service and a private beach area
  • Gratuities, taxes, room service and non-motorized watersports are inside the rate

The trade-offs

  • Shares a campus with the all-ages Royalton Saint Lucia, and one reseller warns all ages will be present in shared areas
  • The longest transfer on this page — Costco Travel lists 90 minutes from the airport
  • Published restaurant counts disagree sharply (eight to eleven) and the neighboring resort's room count runs 289 to 355
  • Scuba, spa, premium cuts and excursions are all extra, and the Diamond Club pool is listed by one reseller as chargeable

#5 · Best for families, and for mixed-age groups

Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa

Coconut Bay

A split-personality resort five minutes from the terminal: the island's largest water park on one side, an adults-only wing on the other.

Coconut Bay is the practical answer for anyone traveling to St. Lucia with children, and the reason is the same five minutes that makes its Serenity sibling work. The resort sits at Vieux Fort, a short drive from Hewanorra, which removes the single worst part of a St. Lucia family trip: a 90-minute mountain road at the end of a long travel day with tired children in the car.

The property is formally split into two wings, and the split is real rather than marketing. Splash is the family side, with what published listings call the largest water park in St. Lucia and the CocoLand kids' club, and rooms configured for up to four adults or two adults and two children. Harmony is the adults-only side, with its own palm-fringed pool, pool bar, hot tub, cabana day beds, spa access and an adults-only a la carte dinner restaurant called Veranda; Harmony rooms are a single king and sleep two. Overall the resort is a published 250 rooms with eight restaurants, seven bars and five pools — though one roundup lists ten restaurants in its specification table and nine in its own body text, so take the dining count as approximate.

Two things about the rate deserve attention before you book. First, it is not a total: published listings state that some venues, including La Luna and The Greathouse, sit outside the all-inclusive plan and carry an additional cost — a pattern worth checking against any resort that advertises a restaurant you specifically want. Second, St. Lucia levies a Tourism Accommodation Fee that one operator lists at $6 per person per night, payable locally and subject to change, so it will not appear in your prepaid package price.

What is included is substantial: all meals, premium and local branded spirits, wine by the glass, and unlimited juices and soft drinks. Published rate figures circulate on inconsistent bases — one guide gives roughly $438 to $686 per night varying by wing and season, another about $450 to $700 per night for two, a third around $200 to $450 per room per night — which is exactly the per-room versus per-person confusion we unpick in our St. Lucia cost guide. Check a live quote for your dates rather than planning on any of them.

The good

  • About five minutes from Hewanorra — no mountain transfer at the end of a travel day
  • A genuine two-wing split: the island's largest water park on the family side, an adults-only wing with its own pool and restaurant
  • A published 250 rooms, eight restaurants, seven bars and five pools; premium branded spirits included
  • The rare St. Lucia resort that works for a mixed-age group without anyone compromising

The trade-offs

  • La Luna and The Greathouse sit outside the all-inclusive plan and carry an extra charge
  • A Tourism Accommodation Fee listed by one operator at $6 per person per night is payable locally, not in your package
  • Published restaurant counts disagree (eight versus nine versus ten) and rate figures circulate on three different bases
  • Vieux Fort trades scenery for convenience — the Pitons and the pretty south-west are an excursion, not a view

#6 · Best small, quiet all-inclusive

Sandals Halcyon Beach

Sandals

The smallest and quietest of the three St. Lucia Sandals, with an overwater restaurant and the others a shuttle away.

Halcyon Beach is the one to book if the scale of a big Caribbean all-inclusive is the thing you are trying to avoid. Published listings put it at 169 rooms in low-rise buildings along Choc Bay — one reseller gives 194, so take the figure as approximate — spread flat across a garden rather than up a hillside, with six restaurants of its own. It is the quietest Sandals in St. Lucia by a wide margin, and the one where you will recognize the staff by midweek.

The signature is Kelly's Dockside, a restaurant built out over the water at the end of a pier, which is as close as this resort gets to the overwater product its sibling monopolizes. The Crystal Lagoon pool is the other centerpiece. The included watersports list is unusually complete for a property this size: water skiing, wakeboarding, scuba for certified divers, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding all sit inside the rate, along with the standard Sandals package of premium drinks, gratuities and round-trip airport transfers.

Halcyon's real asset, though, is geography. It sits between La Toc and Grande St. Lucian — published shuttle times run roughly 20 minutes to La Toc and about 25 to Grande St. Lucian — which makes it the natural base for anyone intending to actually use the Stay at One, Play at Three exchange. From here, both of the island's bigger Sandals and their combined restaurant count are a short, free ride away, which is a better deal than it looks for a resort at the lower end of the brand's St. Lucia pricing: one guide quoted it at about $289 per person per night as of September 2026, within a dollar of La Toc.

The trade-offs are honest and predictable. There are no overwater bungalows and no Rondoval villas here; the suite ceiling is lower than at either sibling. Choc Bay is a working stretch of coast rather than a postcard, and the beach is narrower than Grande St. Lucian's mile. And the published transfer is about 36 miles and an hour ten from Hewanorra — better than Grande, worse than La Toc.

The good

  • The smallest and quietest St. Lucia Sandals at a published 169 rooms, low-rise and flat
  • Kelly's Dockside puts dinner out over the water, and the Crystal Lagoon pool anchors the property
  • Water skiing, wakeboarding, scuba, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding are all included
  • The best base for the three-resort exchange — roughly 20 minutes to La Toc and 25 to Grande St. Lucian

The trade-offs

  • No overwater bungalows and no Rondoval villas — the top suite categories are at the siblings
  • Choc Bay's beach is narrower and less scenic than Grande St. Lucian's mile of sand
  • Six on-site restaurants means real reliance on the shuttle for variety; couples-only like every Sandals
  • Published room counts disagree (169 versus 194)

#7 · Best wellness week

BodyHoliday Saint Lucia

BodyHoliday

A spa treatment every full day of your stay, included — but it is no longer the adults-only resort most lists still call it.

BodyHoliday is the most distinctive all-inclusive in St. Lucia and the one we would send a specific kind of traveler to without hesitation. The rate includes a one-hour therapeutic spa treatment on every full day of the stay — the resort's own wording is "a daily spa treatment every full day of your stay" — which is not an upgrade or a credit but a standing daily appointment. Meditation, Tai Chi and a full yoga program are included too, alongside what the property describes as near-endless classes, an adventure program and sports. Published listings put it at 155 rooms and six restaurants on Cariblue Beach at Cap Estate, the island's northern tip.

The honest correction comes next, because most published "St. Lucia adults-only" lists still get it wrong — including the one at the top of the biggest review site. BodyHoliday is no longer adults-only. Caribbean Journal reported the resort lowering its age requirement from 16 and over to allowing travelers aged 12 and up, and several current reseller listings now give 12 as the year-round minimum. Older listings still carry the previous arrangement, a 16-plus policy relaxed to 12-plus at Easter, in high summer and at Christmas, and one outlier still lists 18. If a child-free week is what you are buying, this is not the resort for it any more, and you should confirm the current policy directly for your dates.

Teen access appears to be constrained rather than general. One tour operator's listing states that only the two Luxury Twin room categories accept teens aged 12 to 16, and that guests under 16 do not receive spa treatments — which suggests the change is narrower in practice than the headline minimum implies. Booking.com's listing notes that cots and extra beds are not available. None of that is a substitute for asking the resort.

The rate is quoted per person and reflects what is bundled into it. Published figures include about $388 per person per night all-inclusive at one reseller, and the property's own spokesperson gave Caribbean Journal a starting figure of $847 per person per night in a Garden View king room at the time of that report. Those are not contradictory so much as seasonal and category-dependent, and neither is current. The specialist treatments — holistic therapies, acupuncture, Ayurvedic treatments and skin-clinic facials — sit outside the included daily treatment and are charged separately.

The good

  • A one-hour spa treatment included every full day of the stay, not as a credit or an upgrade
  • Meditation, Tai Chi and a full yoga program are inside the rate, alongside an extensive sports and adventure program
  • A published 155 rooms and six restaurants on a quiet northern beach — genuinely purpose-built for a wellness week
  • The clearest single-purpose all-inclusive on the island; nothing else in St. Lucia is trying to do this

The trade-offs

  • No longer adults-only — Caribbean Journal reported the minimum age dropping from 16 to 12, and current listings give 12 year-round
  • Specialist treatments including holistic therapies, acupuncture, Ayurvedic treatments and skin-clinic facials are charged extra
  • Published rates are quoted per person and vary enormously by source and season, from about $388 to $847 pp/night
  • Cap Estate is at the far northern tip — a long transfer from Hewanorra

#8 · Best boutique option

StolenTime by Rendezvous

StolenTime

A hundred rooms on a two-mile private beach beside the domestic airstrip — with a door policy currently in flux.

StolenTime is the rebranded Rendezvous, a boutique all-inclusive that has been operating on Malabar Beach since 1966 and which trades on a genuinely scarce asset: it is the only hotel on a two-mile stretch of soft sand reserved for its guests. Published listings put it at 100 rooms and suites with three restaurants plus a champagne bar, and the rate covers meals and beverages at all of them. It is also the most convenient property on the island for inter-island travel, sitting beside George F. L. Charles, the small Castries airstrip that handles regional flights, rather than the international terminal an hour south.

The door policy is the thing to check, and we are printing the disagreement rather than resolving it. Several current listings describe the resort as couples-only, with one restriction note reading simply "couples only, no children, no tipping." A trade article reports that after decades as a couples-only property, that changed and the team is expanding the offering to all adults, and at least one UK operator now lists it as adults-only rather than couples-only. We could not establish from a primary source which policy applies today. If you are not booking as a couple, confirm directly before you plan around it — this is the one page entry where the answer may have changed since the listings you will read were written.

What the resort is good at is the scale. A hundred rooms on a private beach with three restaurants is a different holiday from 311 rooms and twelve; there is no water park, no casino, no evening production show, and the no-tipping policy removes the low-level transactional friction that follows you around larger properties. The grounds are mature and heavily planted. For a quiet week where the point is the beach and the book, it does the job better than anything else at this size.

The caveats are real. Malabar Beach is pleasant but it is a city-edge beach next to an airstrip, with the aircraft noise that implies during the day. The included dining is three restaurants, which at a fortnight starts to feel short. And we found no current, dated rate: one aggregator shows roughly $1,068 per night with no date attached, which is not a figure to plan on. Pull a live quote.

The good

  • The only hotel on a two-mile private beach, at a published 100 rooms — genuinely boutique scale
  • A no-tipping policy and an all-inclusive rate covering all three restaurants and the champagne bar
  • Beside George F. L. Charles airstrip, which is the convenient base for regional island-hopping
  • Mature grounds and a quiet, low-production atmosphere no large resort here can match

The trade-offs

  • The door policy is genuinely unclear — listings split between couples-only and all adults, and we could not confirm which applies
  • Daytime aircraft noise from the adjacent airstrip, and a city-edge rather than a resort beach
  • Three included restaurants is thin for a stay longer than a week
  • No current dated rate available — one undated aggregator figure of about $1,068 per night is not a planning number

Settle the rate basis first — St. Lucia's best hotels are not all-inclusive

This is the island's defining booking trap, and it catches people who have done their research. The hotels St. Lucia is famous for — Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet above Soufriere, Sugar Beach between the Pitons, Ladera on the ridge, Cap Maison in the north — are room-rate properties. Meals and drinks are either pay-as-you-go or an optional package bolted onto the nightly figure, and the supplement is not small: one published figure put the all-inclusive add-on at Jade Mountain at roughly $230 per person per day on top of a sanctuary rate starting around $2,400 a night depending on season. None of them appears on this page, and the omission is deliberate. We rank them where they belong, on our best luxury resorts in St. Lucia list, which sorts the island's luxury field on the room product and the Piton view instead.

The consequence is that you cannot compare St. Lucia hotels on headline price, because the headline prices are not measuring the same thing. A room-only rate of $800 and an all-inclusive per-person rate of $320 can describe a similar out-the-door week for two once food, drinks, transfers and tips land on the second bill and not the first. Decide which product you want before you start comparing numbers — and if you are undecided on the model rather than the resort, our all-inclusive versus a la carte comparison is the page for that question.

Within the all-inclusive field itself the scope still varies more than the price. Sandals absorbs round-trip airport transfers, gratuities, scuba for certified divers and golf into the rate. The volume operators generally do not include transfers, and several keep specific restaurants outside the plan — Coconut Bay publishes La Luna and The Greathouse as extra-cost venues, and the Royalton properties bill scuba, spa and premium cuts separately. Before you book, get the list of included restaurants in writing rather than the list of restaurants.

Then the door policy: five of these eight sell only in twos

St. Lucia has the most couples-locked all-inclusive field of any major Caribbean island, and this is the constraint most likely to end a booking. All three Sandals resorts are couples-only — two guests traveling together, no exception — and that is three of the island's eight genuine all-inclusives in one brand. Serenity at Coconut Bay is sold as couples-only too, with reseller listings recording a 21-and-over rule. StolenTime has been couples-only since 1966 and the reporting on whether that has changed is contradictory. That leaves a short list for anyone not traveling as a pair.

Of what remains, Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia is the only property here that is adults-only by age rather than by party size — Marriott describes it as being for guests aged 18 and over — which makes it the default for two friends, a solo traveler or a group of three who want a child-free week. Coconut Bay takes all ages and runs a genuine adults-only Harmony wing inside the resort, which is the workable answer for a mixed-age group. And BodyHoliday, which almost every published adults-only list still includes, is no longer adults-only at all: Caribbean Journal reported its minimum age dropping from 16 to 12, and current listings give 12 year-round.

Two further points of care. First, "adults-only" and "child-free" are not synonyms when a property shares a campus — Hideaway exchanges dining and facilities with the all-ages Royalton Saint Lucia next door, and one reseller listing warns outright that all ages will be present in the shared areas. Second, if the door policy is the whole trip rather than a preference, our ranking of adults-only all-inclusive resorts across the region covers the islands where the field is deeper, and Sandals versus Beaches explains why a brand that owns two St. Lucia-adjacent products will only sell you one of them.

The airport is at the wrong end of the island

Hewanorra International sits at Vieux Fort on the southern tip. Almost the entire all-inclusive field sits in the north, around Castries, Choc Bay, Rodney Bay and Cap Estate, and the road between them is a winding 60 to 90 minutes. Published figures for the properties on this page: La Toc at about 34 miles and roughly an hour, Halcyon Beach at about 36 miles and an hour ten, Grande St. Lucian at about 41 miles and an hour fifteen, and Costco Travel listing Hideaway at Royalton at 90 minutes — the longest here.

Exactly two resorts on this page escape that, and they are the two in Vieux Fort: Coconut Bay and Serenity at Coconut Bay, both roughly five minutes from the terminal. That is worth real money and real hours, and it is the main reason both appear high on a list where neither has the island's best beach or its most scenic setting. If you are traveling with children, arriving at the end of a long flight day, or taking a short four- or five-night trip where three hours of road is a meaningful share of the holiday, start your search in Vieux Fort rather than finishing there.

The alternatives to the road are real but priced. Grande St. Lucian can be reached by water ferry or helicopter in roughly fifteen minutes for a fee. George F. L. Charles, the small airstrip beside Castries, serves regional flights and is the convenient terminal for StolenTime and for island-hopping — one northern resort's published transfer prices illustrate the gap neatly, at $90 from Hewanorra against $30 from Charles. Transfers are a line item, not a rounding error, and we price them alongside everything else the rate does not cover in our guide to what a St. Lucia all-inclusive week costs.

What the Sandals exchange is actually worth, and how to compare across bases

Three of the eight resorts here belong to one brand, which creates an unusual dynamic: the Stay at One, Play at Three exchange lets a guest at any of the three use the restaurants, bars, pools and beaches at the other two, with free shuttles between them, taking the included restaurant count to a published 28 across the island. That turns what looks like three mid-sized resorts into one distributed property, and it changes which of them you should book. Halcyon Beach is the geographic middle — published shuttle times of roughly 20 minutes to La Toc and about 25 to Grande St. Lucian — so it is the best base if you intend to use the exchange. Grande St. Lucian and La Toc are about 40 minutes apart, which is far enough that a casual dinner run becomes a plan.

The exchange is also the honest counterweight to Halcyon's six on-site restaurants and La Toc's ten. Neither number is the number you experience if you are prepared to ride a shuttle. What the exchange does not transfer is accommodation: the overwater bungalows and Rondoval villas stay where they are, so if those are the point of the trip you have to book the resort that has them.

Finally, a word on comparing rates here, because St. Lucia's published figures are quoted on at least three incompatible bases. Sandals and BodyHoliday quote per person per night. Serenity's reported figure and most of Coconut Bay's circulate per room. One guide prices La Toc per couple per week at roughly $4,200 to $6,500. Those are not three views of the same number, and a per-room figure next to a per-person figure will mislead you by close to a factor of two. Convert everything to an out-the-door total for your actual party before you choose — which is the arithmetic our St. Lucia all-inclusive cost guide sets out line by line, and the same trap we untangle for the Dominican coast in the Punta Cana cost guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

On what the rate actually covers, Sandals Regency La Toc. It carries a published ten included restaurants on a 220-acre estate near Castries, rising to about 28 across the island with the Stay at One, Play at Three exchange, and it folds round-trip airport transfers, gratuities, scuba for certified divers and golf inside the price at the lowest per-person rate of the three St. Lucia Sandals — about $288 per person per night as of September 2026 per one published guide. If you are ranking on the resort rather than the rate, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the better property and our highest-scoring St. Lucia all-inclusive at 9.0, with the island's only overwater bungalows. The catch at both is the same: couples only.
